Machine Cancels - Slogans

Stamp cancelling machines are used to process larger quantities of mail. The PNG mail volume grew considerably at the end of the 1950s, therefore stamp cancelling machines were provided for the larger post offices. The slogans used next to the cds are of major interest. At the beginning wavy lines were used, later on slogans. Some of these slogans were only used for a very short period of time, hence these are modern rarities.
